The Magical Madrigals - Chapter 1: Alma

Whoops my finger slipped!

Have I started another challenge when I am very busy exploring Korea and working as a teacher? Yes, I have. Is this a bad idea? Yeah, probably. Do I care? No, not really.

So, I've been obsessed with Encanto since I watched it on New Year's Day. I haven't been obsessed with a Disney movie this much since Big Hero 6 and by the time it was released on DVD (about 3 months), I was not interested any more so let's hope I get this challenge finished before my interest timer runs out on Encanto

The challenge is from here by SimsWrapped on Tumblr.

Instead of putting the rules at the start, I think I will place them at the end so that they are a surprise (or maybe not if you've clicked the link before reading...)

Anyway, without further ado, let's go!

Now, let’s see what Dante’s reign of the Booker household will become…

The Literal Booker Legacy - Generation 8, Chapter 1: Ch-ch-changes!

Welcome back to The Literal Booker Legacy! We are finally at generation 8!

A quick recap for everyone:

So, Yvonne Booker was our beloved founder and she married her college sweetheart, Andrea Benson. They had two daughters, Wynne (Diana Wynne Jones) and Austen (Jane Austen).

Austen was chosen as heiress and she married her high school sweetheart, Cherry Tan. Together they had four children: Bronte (The Bronte Sisters – Emily, Charlotte, Anne), Hardy (Thomas Hardy), Lawrence (D.H. Lawrence), and Atwood (Margaret Atwood).

Bronte and Atwood were tied at the heir poll and Bronte was ultimately chosen by me. Bronte ruled her generation singlehandedly, giving birth to Ellis (Bret Easton Ellis) and Shelley (Mary Shelley).

I chose Shelley as heiress and she married her high school sweetheart, Heath Butler, and they had three children: Angelou (Maya Angelou), Morrison (Toni Morrison), and Baldwin (James Baldwin).

Baldwin won the heir poll, becoming the first male heir of the legacy! Baldwin married Serdar Shaikh, who he met at college, and they produced the first all-male generation – Dickens (Charles Dickens) and Wilde (Oscar Wilde). Unfortunately both Wilde and Dickens were face clones but Wilde won the heirship anyway.

Wilde married Lilly Do after having difficulty in finding a wife. Together, Wilde and Lilly brought another four Bookers into the legacy: Gaiman (Neil Gaiman), Eliot (George Eliot), Du Maurier (Daphne du Maurier), and Ryman (Geoff Ryman), the only alien to appear in the legacy so far.

Eliot won the heirship poll by a landslide and she married her college beau, Bruce Shweber. They had three children, Joyce (James Joyce), Alcott (Louisa May Alcott), and Christie (Agatha Christie).

Which brings us to this chapter, introducing Christie Booker and her fiancé, Blair Thorne, as they return back to the house to bring in generation 8. Are you ready?

Let’s go!

The Literal Booker Legacy - Generation 7, Chapter 1: For the Sake of It

Hello and welcome back to the Literal Booker Legacy!

Previously, Wilde and Lilly eloped after having a big argument. They then proceeded to have a happy marriage and brought three children into the legacy together: Gaiman, Eliot, and Du Maurier. Wilde was then abducted and brought in the fourth Booker of the generation: Ryman.

Eliot was voted heiress by popular vote and got engaged to her sweetheart, Bruce Schweber.

Now, we begin Eliot and Bruce's reign of the legacy. Shall we see what happens?

Also, take note of how many times they argue over the whole generation. You'll be surprised (or not. You know what Eliot's like).

The Literal Booker Legacy - Generation 6, Chapter 1: Under the Stars

Hello and welcome back to The Literal Booker Legacy! We are on an exciting chapter folks. This chapter marks the start of the sixth generation! Only four generations remain!

Let’s have a little recap before we begin:

Wilde and Dickens went to college where it was revealed that Wilde was voted heir. Dickens met the love of his life in Mitch Gothier whereas Wilde was having a difficult time finding a girlfriend. In the end, he found a wife in the form of Lilly Do, a lady he met online (except not really but let’s pretend for the sake of the story). Wilde proprosed to Lilly and then graduated and now… here we are.

The Literal Booker Legacy - Generation 5, Chapter 1: You're in my House!

Welcome back to the Literal Booker Legacy where the aim of the game is breed out the black hair from the founding generation, will I succeed, only time will tell!

Of course, that’s not actually the case. The aim is to get to ten generations, using the naming theme of author’s last names for each child.

Yvonne Booker was our founder, she married Andrea Benson, and the two had two daughters: Wynne and Austen. Austen carried on the family line with her own wife, Cherry Tan, and they produced four children, two daughters, Bronte and Atwood, and twin sons, Hardy and Lawrence. Bronte was voted heir and had two children with a vacation townie, Zeeshan Sims: Ellis and Shelley. Shelley became heir (because I chose her because she was pretty) and married her childhood sweetheart, Heath Butler. The two had three children, Angelou, Morrison, and Baldwin.

And in a rapid turn of events, as I was beginning to get downtrodden and almost turned the legacy into a matriarch, Baldwin became heir!

Shall we follow the adventures of him and his soon to be husband, Serdar Shaikh?

The Literal Booker Legacy - Generation 4, Chapter 1: Forever & Always

Welcome back to The Literal Booker Legacy!

A quick recap:
Bronte, our second generation heiress, gave birth to two children: Ellis (Bret Easton Ellis) and Shelley (Mary Shelley). Shelley was chosen as heiress and I contemplated making this legacy a matriarch but who knows, perhaps we’ll get our first male heir this generation?

Regardless, let’s get on with this chapter!

The Literal Booker Legacy - Generation 3, Chapter 1: You're Going to be Fine

Hello and welcome back to the Literal Booker legacy! We have finally reached generation 3!

A little recap because it’s been so long: Yvonne Booker, our founder, started the legacy with her wife Andrea Benson. Andrea and Yvonne had two girls, Wynne and Austen (named after Diana Wynne Jones and Jane Austen respectively).

Austen won heirship and started the second generation with her wife, Cherry Tan. Between them, Cherry and Austen birthed four sims: Bronte, Lawrence and Hardy, and Atwood (named after the Bronte sisters, D.H. Lawrence, Thomas Hardy, and Margaret Atwood).

Bronte was voted (which ended up in a tie and was ultimately chosen by me) heir and now we start her story!

The Literal Booker Legacy - Generation 2, Chapter 1: U & I

Hello and welcome back to the Literal Booker Legacy! Chaos and cheesy romantic lines abound!

I'm going to do something different with my titles. For the rest of generation 2, every title will be a reference or the title of a song by the Korean artist, Kim Jonghyun, as a memorial to him.

Previously in our story, Yvonne, our founder, met and married Andrea Benson and brought two girls into the world: Wynne and Austen. Both vying for the crown as the heiress of the first generation, Austen ultimately ended up winning leaving Wynne as a spare to live her days happily and freely on her own in luxury.

Shall we see what Austen and Cherry are up to after leaving college?

Welcome back to the Literal Booker Legacy!

Now we start the official legacy so get ready for marriage, promotions, and babies!

Previously, Yvonne graduated university with the highest honours and has now moved out into the big wide world on her own whilst her fiancée, Andrea (pictured above), finishes her final year.
